Below is a list of all the meteorological instruments and weather systems available from Applied
Technologies, Inc. The meteorological instrument line is subject to change as new
weather instruments are added, changed or improved. We have also branched out into other products
which are non-weather related.
Ultrasonic Anemometers - with

Probe styles include:

- 'A' Style Probe - a 3 axis, 3d non-orthogonal
Ultrasonic Anemometer - a scientific anemometer for use in various weather systems where high
velocity information is required.
- 'K' Style Probe - a 3 axis, 3d Ultrasonic
Anemometer - a scientific grade anemometer for use in boundary layer studies. The design of this
probe minimizes flow distortion errors.
- 'Sx' Style Probe - a 3 axis, 3d Ultrasonic
Anemometer - a scientific grade anemometer for environmental monitoring where the horizontal
wind measurements are required to be in the same plane.
- 'V' Style Probe - a 3 axis, 3d Ultrasonic
Anemometer- a 10 cm scientific grade anemometer for turbulence, where eddy measurements must
be the smallest.
- 'Vx' Style Probe - a 3 axis, 3d Ultrasonic
Anemometer - a scientific grade anemometer for flux measurements in plant and forest canopies
where wind speeds are very low and directions are highly unpredictable.
- CATI/2 - a less expensive 2 axis, 2d Ultrasonic
Anemometer designed for commercial use.
- SPAS - a 2 axis, 2d Ultrasonic Anemometer that
has the wind speed rate and accuracy of the scientific ultrasonic anemometer but less wind
direction accuracy.
Data Collection Systems - that can also
synchronize and process data
- DataPacker - can collect data from multiple
ultrasonic anemometers and many analog sensors and will synchronize all measurements to the same time
period and output all samples in a single data packet.
- DataLogger - data collection, synchronization, and
processing of multiple meteorological devices with a single output data packet.
Flux Measurement Software and Systems
- FluxPack - our complete Flux Measurement System, which is
completely configurable, with many options.
- FluxSoft - our Flux Measurement Software loaded onto a
Linux® based computer
Radar Products
Weather Systems - Weather
Products that don't fit into any of the previous categories
- Meteorological Sensor System - a
complete weather station that provides wind speed, wind direction, temperature, barometric pressure,
GPS location and a variety of other options that can be added. If multiple stations are deployed, it
has a radio option and the ability to establish its own autonomous, ad-hoc communications network.
